Watershed delineation

Of course the current AWD plug-in needs to be added to v4.9.

Most likely several optimization can be done by move certain hydrology calculations to the ocx and make more use of the existing TauDEM tools.
For instance AWD uses a custom Pitfill algorithm but TauDEM also has PitRemove.exe

And of course the plug-in needs to be rewritten to C#.

Note that the AWD Pitfill is faster than TauDEM's.  Watershed delineation involves repetitive calculations over typically large rasters, and it is the algorithm you use, not the language it is written in, that is critical.

One thing that would improve the speed is to use rectilinear ("Manhattan") shapes for the subbasin shapefile.

Thanks Chris for pointing this out.

Perhaps moving the AWD pitfill algorithm to the ocx might speed it up even further.
