On-the-fly view projections

To have on-the-fly projections for any layer that is spatially referenced and has an associated projection file with it.

How is this different from the current situation in v4.8?

If you have opened a project in WGS84 and you add a layer in NAD83 MWv4.8 will prompt you and asks if you want to reproject.

Hi Paul

What i am referring to is that when you open a vector or raster into a view, it will read the projection and instead of asking to reproject it and make a new file, it will read the existing file and reproject it on-the-fly to the view. If you opt to actually reproject the file, then you would make a new file as presently done. Is this a bit clearer?
